What we collect

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email, message and anything else you choose to add (organization, role), plus your IP address and browser type to help stop spam.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type and your approximate location (city or region). Google does not store your IP address for this, and we've turned off advertising features and Google signals, so this information isn't used to advertise to you or tied to your Google account. We keep it for two months. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't load Google Analytics at all. We don't use advertising or other tracking tools.

How we use it

Only to reply to you and keep a record of our conversation. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never add you to a mailing list. Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship, so please don't send confidential details.

The “Ask a question” assistant

Questions you type are sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to generate an answer. Anthropic doesn't train its models on them. The conversation is only kept for your visit, unless you choose “Send this to Paul”, in which case it's saved with your name and email as an inquiry. Please don't type confidential details.

Cookies and other services

We set one cookie, only when you use the contact form or the assistant, to keep them working. It's deleted when you close your browser. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (names starting _ga) to tell new visits from return ones; they last up to two years, and you can block them in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on. Cloudflare delivers this site and checks that people using the contact form or the assistant aren't bots; Google Fonts provides our fonts.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept for up to [3 YEARS] after we last speak, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing paul@legaledgeadvisors.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws; we honor them and won't treat you differently for using them.

This site is for professionals and isn't directed at children under 13. It is operated from the United States.
